The Laboratory for Aqua-Soil Interfacial Processes at Fudan University was established in 2018. The team employs a comprehensive approach including aquatic chemistry, analytical techniques, numerical simulations, and multi-omics technologies to uncover novel and important environmental biogeochemical processes occurring at soil-water interfaces. The team's work particularly emphasizes the impact of these processes on climate change, urbanization, agricultural sustainability, and public health. Recent research has expanded to study metastable phase transitions and soil organic carbon, methane cycling in soil-water environments, and biogeochemical processes in permafrost under climate change.
