# Rights and Publication Limitations

This release redistributes bibliographic identifiers, derived factual
assignments, summary tables, rules, and original analysis code. It excludes
source PDFs, copied full abstracts and article text, private correspondence,
manuscript drafts, reviewer identities, private comments, and credentials.

Original analysis software is released under the MIT License. Original
derived classifications, factual analysis assignments, and summary tables
are released under CC BY 4.0, as approved by the research lead. Third-party
article metadata remain attributable to their original sources. No blanket
license over third-party material or cartographic geometry is asserted.
See `LICENSE-CODE.txt` and `LICENSE-DATA.md` for scope and attribution.

## Map Publication

Figure 4 is published with the accepted SVG geometry unchanged. The point
layer and country counts retain the frozen V18 article-level evidence.

The source reference is the Ministry of Natural Resources of China Standard
Map Service. Official Chinese region and boundary layers are preserved. Country-tone
geometry outside China uses Natural Earth. Third-party cartographic rights
are retained; the derived-data CC BY license does not relicense the basemap.

## Scientific Limits

Legacy map color classes are not the same classifier as Figure 3 title
settings. They contain potential misclassifications and are exported with
QA flags. Article-topic occurrences describe the archived language and
do not establish causal mechanisms, completeness, citation impact, or
policy uptake. AI checks are not independent expert-human validation.

## Regional Location Recovery v2

GeoNames data are licensed CC BY 4.0 (https://www.geonames.org/export/). Natural Earth administrative-name reference points retain their original public-domain status. These references supply representative positions only; no Natural Earth administrative boundary replaces the official Chinese basemap. New locations were matched to PDF titles, study sections, abstracts, or sampling/location statements, with country and ambiguity checks. They are not exact sampling coordinates. Existing country counts and Figures 1-3 remain unchanged. Figure 4 is included in release v18.1; analytical records and accepted map geometry are unchanged.

## Final geographic correction v18

Forty selected labels are retained. Three source-checked legacy errors were addressed: Micciano uses its printed study-area coordinate; Gruvebadet uses a named-site representative from CNR; the anonymous eastern Austrian site retains country evidence without a point. All changes are in qa/geographic_corrections_v18.csv. The public geographic tables contain 1,776 point placements and 3,023 country-resolved articles (96 countries/regions). These overlapping sets are not additive. The broader legacy extraction has not been independently verified article by article. Country-only records do not imply absent site descriptions. The original point-layer field-setting labels remain provisional.
