The paper “Optimized Sequential Extraction for Organic-Bound Manganese in Soils: Enhancing the Characterization of Mn(III) Species” by Xingxing Wang, Xiaohan Lu and colleagues was accepted by Geoderma.

Recognition

The collaborative project “Development and Application of an Integrated System for Water and Soil Pollution Control and Ecological Restoration in Ion-Adsorption Rare-Earth Mining Areas” received the Second Prize of the 2025 Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Supported by the National Key R&D Program of China, the project included Fudan University’s work on modelling pollutant transport at mine sites and across the watershed.

Public engagement

Prof. Zimeng Wang was invited by Guangming Daily to contribute the expert commentary “Human Judgement Is Indispensable,” reflecting on human reading, judgement and accountability in AI-assisted scholarly publishing.
