Our environmental-biogeochemistry program combines interfacial chemistry and spectroscopy, microbial ecology, long-term field experiments, evidence synthesis and modeling to connect molecular mechanisms with ecosystem and Earth-system change.

An environmental biogeochemist studying mineral–microbe–organic matter controls on soil carbon, redox processes and contaminant fate. He received the ACS James J. Morgan Early Career Award and the IAGC Ebelmen Award.

Editorial service

After six years of editorial leadership, Prof. Zimeng Wang concluded his term as Editor-in-Chief of Applied Geochemistry and continues to support the journal as an Honorary Consulting Editor.

Team milestone
